Nathan Sherman

Nathan is a viola player based in Dublin and performs regularly in Ireland and internationally as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. He studied music performance at the RIAM, Royal Academy of Music in London and the ESMUC in Barcelona, and received an MA in Musicology from NUI Maynooth.

Nathan frequently plays with the RTE orchestras, Camerata Ireland, Ensemble Marsyas, Crash Ensemble, Kirkos, Evlana, and Camerata Kilkenny. He is Artistic Director of Ficino Ensemble, and is a devoted music educator. Nathan is co-founder and director of the community string group Offbeat Ensemble, and regularly coaches chamber music, string classes and orchestras at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, UCD, as well as privately.
