Anna Marcossi, born in a family of musicians, has been described as a "charismatic" cellist, gifted with a "beautiful sound and great musicality”. Anna completed her Master’s in Music Performance at the Royal Irish Academy of Music as a student of Annette Cleary, taking further studies with Bill Butt.
Since arriving in 2012, she has been invited to play with both the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra. As a freelance musician Anna has collaborated with artists of the likes of Michael Bublé, Gavin James, Hermitage Green, Camille O’Sullivan, Sibéal, Colm Wilkinson, Tommy Fleming, Nathan Carter, Jedwards and Daniel O’Donnell.
Together with Kitty Maguire she is creator of Yocella, a yin yoga class with live music that has become increasingly popular since it's launch in August 2016. Yocella has been part of several Festivals like Spike Cello Festival, Body&Soul, Another Love Story.
Anna is one half of the HoneyVoom Duo with her partner Stephen, a gifted percussive fingerstyle guitarist. Together they combine their unique styles to woo crowds with their captivating renditions of musical masterpieces like Bohemian Rhapsody or Sweet Child of Mine.
Also recently, Anna became the new owner of Sacred Sounds, an established wedding and event music company. Anna particularly enjoys her teaching at Leeson Park School of Music being responsible for the cello department. Teaching children and exploring and nurturing their musicality brings her immense joy.
